A New Space for Artists to Grow and Create! Est. 2021
Conveniently located near the heart of downtown, Abilene’s premiere 7,000sqft creative studio space and venue offers the perfect space for the blending of artistic expression & creation with a focus on career growth and entrepreneurship.
We house 10 Working Resident Artists with studio spaces, each specializing in their own artistic mediums. We also welcome and host guest artist and exibits!
Shows are free to the public. Stop in for a creative experience!
Our Story
“Electric Beginnings!”
Previously a long standing electric company and warehouse, 1117 Studios & Gallery was purchased by the Herndon and Prosser families in 2020 with the dream of transforming the industrial warehouse into an elegent space for local artists and creatives to flourish! Owned and operated by artist and muralist Stephanie Prosser, the newly renovated facilities provide a uniquely beautiful backkdrop for contemporary art!
